Hunt Minnesota Whitetails!

There are few other states in the nation with as many different styles of whitetail hunting available to a hunter as can be found in Minnesota. RAM Outfitters has been chasing whitetail deer in South East Minnesota since the late 90's and feels Minnesota's whitetail herd is as good as any of the surrounding states.

Each year hunters from around the country come to Minnesota in pursuit of trophy whitetail deer. Minnesota's archery season opens this year September 17th. and ends in early January. The gun season for deer in Minnesota opens Nov. 5th. which both shotguns and muzzle loaders are legal. In Minnesota we offer the ideal environment for harvesting trophy Whitetails. The natural bluff region of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois makes growing mature whitetails ideal. RAM's natural producing whitetail deer habitat coupled with the extensive time and effort put into enhancing our property provides you with the best trophy hunting opportunity.
We have almost 5,000 acres of private land consisting of crop lands, white-oak acorn forests around the bluffs of the Mississippi River. In addition, a fertile soil has allowed Minnesota agriculture to produce rich food sources to maintain deer health improving antler growth. The whitetails in Minnesota also have the opportunity to grow old because deer hunters in the state can only harvest one buck. If you harvest a buck with your bow you are done chasing whitetail bucks in the state. If you harvest a buck with your shotgun, rifle or muzzle loader you are done chasing bucks.

A new law in our zone in 2010 restricts hunters to only shoot whitetail bucks with 4 points or more on one side. This management program has been well received by the local Minnesota hunter that is after trophy bucks. With plenty of does venison is on the table if you want it.

Each season our area has produced bucks scoring 170" to 200" plus inches. Boone and Crockett. Only Pope and Young bucks scoring 125" and larger may be taken which allows for optimal maturation of bucks..
